How Golden is that!? What started out as an import from Aspen Colorado by our founder and then District Governor Lion Dick Kapp of District A2, has blossomed into the full featured programming we have today. I can just imagine back in January of 1974 as they assembled with a handful of VIP downhill skiers, all the excitement that must have filled the crisp winter air. I’ve personally felt that excitement when the Richfield Lions club started the BOLD Motorcycle Ride back in 2001 and the excitement is apparent in all of our other activities as well. We went from being Milwaukee BOLD in 1974, to Metro-Milwaukee BOLD, Inc. in 1977 and shortly after that we became Southeastern Wisconsin Blind Outdoor Leisure Development, Inc. So, from five members with skiing as our main event all the way to now with 235 registered VIP’s and the multitude of events we have to offer, this milestone deserves and will have a celebration. Stay tuned for that announcement to come in early 2024 Looking forward to another great year with all of you whom I call “Friends”. As always, feel free to contact any Board member with comments or suggestions. Our “2-2” line in our call-in system is also ready to take your input.
