History of BOLD Kids

After over 35 years of success, the Lions BOLD (Blind Outdoor Leisure Development), program of Southeastern Wisconsin has a new vision of finding more children with visual impairment to join us with our wonderful, year-round schedule of events. The goal of the organization remains the same; to provide the opportunity for blind and visually impaired children, ages 6 and up to have fun. The activities take place within the sighted community. This integration is vital to the experience because it connects the blind with the sighted world.

BOLD Kids Activities

BOLD Kids activities include Downhill Skiing, Pumpkin Farm trip, Holiday Parties, Picnics, Bike Rides, Swimming, Canoeing, Snow Tubing, Water Skiing Hay Rides, Bowling, Roller Skating, Organized Games and Hikes just to name some of our year round activities.

BOLD events are financed primarily by the Lions, Lioness & Leo Clubs Districts 27-A1 and 27-A2 of Southeastern Wisconsin, with additional donations from other interested groups. We are continually seeking VIPs (Visually Impaired Person) and new volunteers to add to this exceptional program. For questions, please contact Kathy Hahn at 262-246-9763. kathylizbill@yahoo.com
