If you have been waiting at one of the bus stops for at least twenty minutes past the pickup time and the bus has not arrived, please call Tom Martin at 262-353-5684. Tom has contact information that will help identify the problem and provide information for the possibility of getting you to the event. 

In addition, our events are set up with the “Kid” in you in our minds.   The “BOLD Kids” are encouraged to attend all the events listed in each newsletter.  Let’s get them involved!

Mark your calendars!  Plan ahead for this very popular event!
The Harley Ride Committee wants everyone to know that plans for the 2009 Harley Ride are under way!  The date of the event will be the first Saturday of June 2009. The cut-off registration date for this event will be set at April 26, 2009. This will allow us to plan better for the day of the event. We received great feedback on our survey from the last ride and are working hard to incorporate your comments.  BOLD had a good turnout this past year, so mark your calendars!  Also, please do not try to call in for this event until it is announced, complete details will follow in later newsletters!

EVENTS

Enjoy seeing how life used to be. We will arrive at Old World Wisconsin near the Town of Eagle at 9:45 am. Our self guided tour starts at 10:00 am. Don’t forget to bring along a light jacket just incase it gets cool. Bring a sack lunch and have the bag clearly marked with your name. There will be a designated area for us to have lunch.  A non-refrigerated area will be provided to store our lunches.  This is a special event day at the grounds, so there will be vendors around the area.  Bring a guide if you have one or let us know when you call, if you need one. This will be a great event for the BOLD Kids. The tour ends at 5:00 pm and the bus will leave for home at 5:15 pm. Those who are driving should take I94 west to Hwy 67 south through Eagle. Bring the kids!  This is another popular event to get the kids involved with BOLD!  Our BOLD Kids are encouraged to attend this event.  Lap lanes, 145 ft water slide, current channel and hot tub too! Join us for swimming and fun from 1pm to 4pm with pizza at Ruffalo’s at the end of the afternoon.  Rec Plex is located 1 mile east of I-94 off on Hwy 165 in Kenosha. Rollaero is located two blocks south of Edgerton Road on South Pennsylvania Avenue, in Cudahy.  If you are driving, please arrive by 5:30 pm.  Rollaero has a well maintained wood floor.  This will be a 2-hour skating session with sub sandwiches after skating.  Our BOLD Kids are encouraged to attend this event.  Activity leader is Dick Wolter, phone number, 262-353-5530.   Call in deadline:  October 26, 2008.

Be prepared to inspire your inventive genius!  We will arrive at the Museum at 9:45 am and our self guided tour starts at 10:00 am. Bring a sack lunch that is clearly marked with your name.  The museum has a designated area to store our lunches and will provide an area for our group lunch by noon.  There is a food court with several selections if you wish to purchase your lunch instead. Bring a guide if you can or let us know if you need one.  Our BOLD Kids are encouraged to attend! The museum closes at 4:00 pm and our buses will leave shortly after that. If you plan to drive to the museum, it is located at 57th and Lake Drive in Chicago, IL.
